Question by Jeremy: Cheap Laptops…?
Laptops?
I was thinking about getting a laptop sometime soon.
Any ideas on a fairly cheap laptop (Can’t spent too much) that will be able to run games just a lil’…(I don’t mind having to run with bad graphics)
Thanks!!

I got mine at Best Buy for about 0.
What do you think? Answer below!
go check your local best buy or circuit city, they tend to have a lower end laptop.
Walmart had one on sale for about $350 last week. It was a Compaq. Keep an eye on their sales.
Try the Dell Vostros. If you start with the base model and upgrade only the CPU and Video Card. You can do the ram yourself. And if you dont mind 1280×800 resolution for gaming, you should do fine. Or you can go to the Dell Outlet. The computers in the outlet are called refurbished or scratched or whatever category you pick. But in my case, I bought 2 so called refurbished laptops. And they came looking, smelling, acting, and warrantee’d just like new laptops. I think they call the refurbished laptop anything that might have had an issue that they replaced, such as a harddrive or some issue that is quickly noticed and sent back to get replaced. The packaging looks just like new. But anyway, I got a Dell 1521 and a Dell 1520, both for 800 or less.
Don’t skimp on a laptop. You’ll spend more money making a cheap POS work than you would buying a good laptop in the first place. You can run old games, but most new games require high end computers. Have you ever tried to play a game that your system can’t handle? It is not fun or pretty.
Whatever you do, don’t get a celeron or sempron processor. They will perform like a windows 98 OS. If you look on Newegg, you’ll find a good deal.
Here’s a good HP for $639 w/ a dual core and 1 gig ram. Will do the trick for basic/interm. computing. If you buy a game, check the system requirements first. Or if you want a special game, check what it requires before you buy a laptop. That way you’ll know what you need.
Best buy. $399 laptop. I forgot the brand.
